You can machine splines, gears, and complex angles with this device. You do not need the Cincinnati mill drive components to use this. You can index precisely using the hand crank. The drive is only needed if you wanted to cut helical splines. Furthermore, the gear that would drive the chuck rotation if you did have all the Cincinnati mill drive components has a broken tooth so this would not work for you anyways. Other than that this is a tight unit in great shape. The mill deck guide pins that come with this unit are .710 wide and don’t work with most mill tables, therefore, they are removed and will come in a bag. You can machine them to fit your mill table tightly to aid in future alignments or leave them off.
