    Description

    A very fine example of a 2 piece Civil War period Confederate States of America Staff Officer's button.  Albert# CS-1-A4-TY.    Button has a spun back which was used to more highly finish a button often for wealthy high ranking officers who wanted a finer button for their uniform.  Traces of the backmark "  S. ISAACS  CAMPBELL  &  CO  ST. JAMES. ST  LONDON" can plainly be seen in the photos.  A
    superior
    specimen!   Button measures 26.03mm.  Button retains nearly all of its original gilded finish.  See photos for condition details.
