CRUISE INDUSTRIAL CONTROLS INC Combination Welding Square 18" Burning Square,  purchased at an estate sale, see photos.
This brass combo square is for guiding a cutting torch in steel fabrication.  It is magnetic so it sticks to the steel.  It has a blade that drops down to hook on the edge of the plate, beam or whatever to insure it is square then if used properly guides the torch in a straight line.
