    Description

Authors Jim Boyd and Joe Petric examine the formation of the GM&O which occurred in 1938 when the line was formed to merge the Gulf, Mobile & Northern and the Mobile & Ohio (finally completed in 1940). The Chicago & Alton was added to the fold in 1947. This book covers the early years when steam still plied GM&O rails through the conversion to diesel power. This is a 128-page color hardcover book printed on gloss paper with a separate dust jacket. It is a new, shrinkwrapped copy from our inventory. Retail is .95.
