    Description

    An unrecorded example of a likely post Civil War 3 piece State of North Carolina Staff
    cuff
    button.   Albert# UNLISTED.   As far as I know this is the only recorded specimen of a Wendlinger
    cuff
    North Carolina button.   The Wendlinger backmark has been debated for years.   Dug specimens have surfaced on various locations.   I still feel relativly certain the Wendlinger buttons are post war.  Regardless, a very rare button.      Backmark reads
    " C.  WENDLINGER.   RICHMOND  VA.  ".   Nearly all the original gilded finish remains.
