The mallets that came with this (when I purchased new) were garbage.
They were VERY hard plastic which dented the wood bars, so my instructor told me to throw them away.
I replaced them with a nice set of Mike Balter mallets, but they were expensive (and I still use them), so I am keeping them.
You can purchase entry level rubber mallets on Amazon for , or a high-quality set at a music store for to .
I’m also keeping the stand (as it’s currently in use holding my tenor practice pad).
