Villeroy & Boch (Dresden) Art Nouveau Tile, Circa 1900

Description

Offered for your consideration is a beautiful Art Nouveau tile with a floral design produced by Villeroy & Boch Dresden.  The tile measures approximately 5.88 inches square.  Incised on the reverse “Villeroy & Boch / Dresden.”  The tile was photographed for illustration on page 56 in Ken Forster’s book  “Tiles & Styles—Jugendstil & Secession: Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts Design in German and Central European Decorative Tiles, 1895-1935,” 240 pp., copyright 2015.
Condition: Excellent condition with very light crazing.   Please see photographs for additional details.
