Vintage Collins Legitimus Short Sword Machete #376 *Factory Edge Never, Handled

Vintage Collins Legitimus Short Sword Machete No. 376 is in *New* condition. This blade is extremely rare as it has a factory edge, it has never been sharpened, or handled. The blade does has some scratches and pitting- especially at the tip, one side is worse than the other with about 2” of pitting at top. Some other spots of pitting as well. I believe this sword is from the Spanish-American War era ((I tried researching as thoroughly as possible, but there is limited information on this item & I’m sure many have more knowledge in this area than me as I am no expert)) There is a Spanish stamping under the logo that reads “ acero fino calidad garantizada” which translates to “stainless steel quality guaranteed”. Blade is also stamped “Collins & Co. Hartford No 376” with “Legitimus” and the Logo. Please see pictures for best idea of condition.
