Wessel Art Nouveau Tile, Circa 1900-1905

Offered for your consideration is a beautiful Art Nouveau tile, produced the Ludwig Wessel Porcelain and Earthenware Manufacturing Company.  The tile measures approximately 5.75 inches square.  Unmarked.   For more information on the manufacturer, we recommend you read Ken Forster’s very informative book  “Tiles & Styles—Jugendstil & Secession: Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts Design in German and Central European Decorative Tiles, 1895-1935,” 240 pp., copyright 2015.
Condition: Excellent condition.  Some very light crazing.  See photographs for additional details.
